When a star dies it does so explosively, in a supernova. This supernova leaves a dust cloud, which creates a radiation that resembles a billion suns. When we look at the stars in the sky we make wishes, we imagine the infinitude behind them, the imaginative, and we recognize something of ourselves in them.
This print resembles the radiant dust cloud of the supernova. In this woolen blanket the cosmic is transferred to the human scale. By weaving the bubble print – in glow in the dark yarn – the esthetics are brought into the immeasurable vastness of the universe.
